Robin Reiter, DPT, ATC
Robin Reiter, DPT, ATC is a New York State licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and NATA Certified Athletic Trainer. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, and then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2002 from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Robin began her career in orthopedics and sports medicine as a student athletic trainer at the University of Michigan in 1996. Her professional experience includes working with athletes on the collegiate level at Purdue University and Hunter College, as well as on the professional level with players in the NBA and WNBA. In 2000, Robin was certified as a Pilates Mat Instructor.
While pregnant with her first child, Robin began working with a few moms on core strengthening exercises. She was always sure to do the exercises along with her patients, thus keeping her core strong throughout her pregnancy. After she delivered her son via C-section, she realized that her recovery had been quick and easy due to the strength of her deep core muscles. It was then that Robin realized the true value of pre- and post-natal core strengthening and began to focus more on developing her company, MommyTummy. She attended numerous courses on exercise during/after pregnancy, as well as training in diastasis recti rehabilitation. Today, Robin works with countless moms who just want to get back to their best!
